LIMBO Project (Queer Refugees)
A project exploring the experiences and needs of queer refugees—particularly where neurodiversity intersects with displacement and identity.
Why it exists
Many systems treat identity as separate:
- Neurodiversity
- Sexuality
- Migration
But lived experience doesn’t.
Problem it solves
People at intersections often:
- Fall through gaps
- Face layered exclusion
- Lack tailored support
How it works
- Research and lived experience input
- Program and support development
- Intersectional approach
- Collaboration across sectors
How to use it
- Policy and advocacy
- Support program design
- Awareness and education
What it’s not
- Not a single-issue initiative
- Not simplified identity work
- Not abstract research
Why it matters
Because inclusion that ignores intersectionality isn’t inclusion.
