Let's Talk about joining the organization
"You, are welcome, here"Join the Foundation
The Neurodiversity Foundation is seeking for new boardmembers, ambassadors, wisdom council advisors, ND Pride national organizers, Friends and Fundraisers. If you are reading this, you have been prioritised for the next round. Congratulations!
Due to the very large amount of applications (much more than 300 applicants), and the amazing talent in that pool of applicants, the Neurodiversity foundation has decided to:
- …Proceed the selection process with the understanding that the talent that presented itself is of a high quality that supports enlarging the opportunities for those who applied, in scope and amount of seats. We were very impressed with the high level of skill, heart, brainpower and commitment shown in the applications and look forward to the conversations.
- …Select for 5 Boardmembers (instead of 1-3, based on allround capacity), as well as select for 15 Wisdom Council Advisors, (based on individual merits, gathering 4x a year), 6 Fundraisers and select for a unknown amount of Ambassadors (based on individual merit, often work independently within their field of focus) as well as several ND Pride national organizers (in countries that are new to the annual day celebrating neurodivergent people).
- …Earlier planned selection efforts for a separate campaign seeking Ambassadors and Advisors, will be cancelled, we aim to invite people from this pool for all roles as we are fully convinced that this pool has all the talents we seek for.
- …Start all conversations with applicants with the possibility to invite applicants for each of the roles, unless applicant clearly opts-out of any of these opportunities.
- …Aim to have had all conversations with applicants, and complete selection process up till the ‘foundational birthday’ (februari 15 2025). Which appears a much more ambitious goals, in light of the very large amount of applicants. Director may be alotted more time for this task, if needed, to ensure a solid process.
- …Provide questions upfront that may be asked, while remaining flexible in the conversation and where it leads towards. The questions are mentioned, below. The foundation will also provide crucial documents, shared below, so that applicants can prepare themselves in the way that works for them.
- …Conversations about internships, will be moved till a date after the selection stage for the current key roles, prioritising this selection process to other options.
Documents to help you prepare
This page may help you prepare the conversation with the Director and/or Chair, or to get to know the organization better. In our conversation, we prefer to ‘jump in’, and get to know about you (the applicant) rather than introduce ourselves or retell information that can be reviewed or read in the list below. We are thankful for your willingness to prepare yourself, getting the information about us, that helps us get into a productive conversation quickly.
